Fish, Swim, Paddle, Boat & Play on Gunter Lake

Gunter Lake is located approximately 40 minutes South East of Bancroft (45 minutes North of Madoc). It is a medium sized lake which is approximately 180 acres in size with a maximum depth of 60 feet. It's known for great Bass Fishing including Large Mouth Bass. You can also easily portage into Cashel Lake which is 423 acres and is known for Bass & Trout Fishing. The water itself is clear and not overly weedy (although there are lily pads in a few areas of the lake - mostly towards the ends and a few weeds here and there by mid summer).

Our Cottage is on the East side of the lake facing South West for lots of sun all day! Although the trees provide shade on the lawn. Features Include:

• Sandy Beach with shallow water entry - perfect for kids, seniors & dogs!
• Full Dock: bring your own boat - the boat launch is a few minutes away!
• Fish for your dinner - make sure you have a licence though - buy Ontario Fishing Licences here
• Watercrafts: paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, aluminum fishing boat & inflatables are included free
• Life Jackets - we have adults and even a dog life jacket available for your use but for best safety and fit we advise you to bring your own.
